The EWMGD70J is the gas Wave-Touch dryer of the J generation. Its burner is protected by thermal limiters that open after an overheat and must be replaced, never bypassed. On an EWMGD70J that has tripped a limiter, we find out why: usually a blocked vent, confirmed by airflow at the outside hood.

The EFDE317TIW is an entry electric dryer in Electrolux’s EF line. Heating complaints on it are mostly airflow-related; a clogged vent makes the element cycle on its limit until the element fails.
