The EI32AF80QS is a later IQ-Touch built-in all-freezer. A freezer that alarms after grocery day may simply be recovering from a warm load; the alarm clears once the cabinet is back below its threshold. If an EI32AF80QS alarms with no new food added, the fan and defrost are checked.

The EI33AF80WS is a newer all-freezer paired with the EI33AR80WS. New units take time to reach temperature and to start making ice, which accounts for most first-week calls. A door alarm on an EI33AF80WS usually means an item blocks the door or a drawer.

Electrolux’s EILFU21GS is a 21-cubic-foot upright freezer with its own technical manual, which we follow for defrost and temperature control tests. A torn gasket on an upright like the EILFU21GS lets humid air in, and frost collecting near the door is the giveaway.

The EILFU17GS is the smaller Electrolux upright freezer, sharing its technical manual with the EILFU21GS. In a garage or basement, dust on the condenser raises run time and temperature. We clean the condenser of an EILFU17GS first when the cabinet runs warm.
