What H4 / B4 Means
H4 or B4 on newer Electrolux dryers means incorrect wiring. Electrolux’s US owner guide calls it a known installation issue and tells owners to contact the installer.
Common Causes of H4 / B4
- Power cord wired incorrectly at the terminal block
- Receptacle wired incorrectly
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Switch off the dryer’s breaker. If the dryer was installed recently, call the installer to recheck the power cord connections at the terminal block. Do not keep restarting the dryer.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Terminal block and receptacle wiring are 240 V electrical work.
- Wrong neutral wiring can make the cabinet unsafe to touch.
