What F90 Means
F90 means the maximum oven door unlock time was exceeded: the door lock motor ran to unlock and did not reach the unlocked position in time. Electrolux checks the wiring to the lock motor micro switch, the latch cam and rod for binding, the lock motor coil, and then the control.
Common Causes of F90
- Lock motor or latch binding
- Micro switch not reporting unlocked
- Lock motor coil open
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Let the oven cool completely after a self-clean; the lock will not release while hot. Press any key, then reset at the breaker for 30 seconds. Do not force the door.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Forcing the door can bend the latch and damage the door.
- The lock assembly sits above the oven cavity behind the top panel.
