What i42 / i45 / i46 Means
These are calibration warnings for the pressure sensor. The sensor calibrates against an empty sump: i42 means the signal was too noisy to calibrate, i45 that it read too low for an empty dishwasher, and i46 too high. They are warnings rather than hard stops.
Common Causes of i42 / i45 / i46
- Water left in the sump at the start
- Sensor tube or chamber partly blocked
- Sensor drifting
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Make sure the tub is empty of standing water before a cycle; if water sits in the sump, run a Cancel and drain first. Cleaning the filter and sump can help a sensor that calibrates against dirty water.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Repeated calibration warnings eventually need a new sensor.
- The sensor is accessed from beneath the tub.
