What i52 / i53 Means
i52 is abnormal high current in the brushless wash pump motor, about 1.3 amps detected by the hardware. i53 is over current above the maximum allowed 1.0 amp, detected in software. Both mean the wash pump is drawing too much.
Common Causes of i52 / i53
- Debris dragging on the wash pump impeller
- Wash pump motor winding shorted
- Motor control board error in the current sensing
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Clean the filter and sump and check that no utensil has dropped through to the spray arm hub. Then reset at the breaker.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The wash pump is the main motor under the tub, replaced from below.
- Repeated over-current starts can damage the motor control board.
