What Er 01 Means
On EWDW6505G and EIDW6305G dishwashers the display alternates Er and a number. Er 01 is the leak detector: water has been detected under the tub by the flood sensor mounted in the base cover.
Common Causes of Er 01
- Suds overflow from the wrong detergent
- Leak at a hose or the tub seal
- Inlet connection leaking
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Switch off the breaker and close the water supply. Look under the sink and at the toe kick for water. Check that only automatic dishwasher detergent was used.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Locating the leak needs the dishwasher pulled out.
- The base pan must dry before the sensor resets.
