What d F Means
A d in the freezer window and F in the fridge window means manual defrost mode, a service mode that runs the defrost heater. Electrolux’s service data sheets say it is entered by holding FF UP and FF DOWN together for up to 10 seconds, and exited the same way.

If d F appeared unexpectedly, press FF UP and FF DOWN together for up to 10 seconds to leave the mode. Cooling resumes once defrost ends.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- No repair is needed to exit the mode.
- If frost still builds up after a normal defrost, the defrost system needs testing.
