What E8 / E9 Means
On Electrolux Icon built-in all-refrigerator columns, E8 or E9 alternating with 33 F on the display is the Temp Sensing Error Alarm: a problem with a temperature sensor. The tone sounds after one hour, and the control switches to a mode that maintains the factory-set cabinet temperature.

- Temperature sensor failed
- Sensor connector loose
- Sensor wiring damaged
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Press Alarm Off to silence the tone. The column keeps cooling at the factory setting, so food is usually safe for now; confirm with a thermometer and book service.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Sensors in built-in columns sit behind interior panels.
- The column must be serviced in place without damaging custom panels.
