What F11 / F1 Means
F11 is a shorted keypad: a key reads as pressed for a long time, and the control ends all oven activity. Electrolux’s owner guide lists the same condition as F1 on ranges with the older two-digit display. The service literature says to clear it with any key, then disconnect power for 30 seconds; if it returns, the touch panel and then the control are replaced.
Common Causes of F11 / F1
- Grease or moisture on the touch panel
- Key membrane worn or shorted
- Ribbon from the keypad damaged
- Oven control input failed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Wipe the control panel with a barely damp cloth and dry it; grease and moisture can hold a key. Make sure nothing rests on the panel, then reset at the breaker for 30 seconds.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The touch panel is bonded to the control panel glass or trim.
- The control is replaced only if a new keypad does not fix it.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
