What 39 Means
39 is a configuration mismatch between the ESEC board and the induction housing assembly. It usually follows a board or housing replacement. After a power reset, the manual describes a reconfiguration using the On/Off keys that shows 8.8 and then walking dashes; if that fails, the induction generator housing is replaced.

Reset at the breaker for 30 seconds. The reconfiguration sequence is a service procedure; book service if 39 persists.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Running the reconfiguration incorrectly can leave the cooktop unusable.
- The generator housing is a large, expensive part.
