What 51-55 / 61-65 Means
On Electrolux induction ranges, codes in the 50s mean an inductor temperature sensor break and codes in the 60s mean the inductor is too hot; the second digit names the zone: 1 left front, 2 left rear, 4 right rear, 5 right front. Each coil’s sensor should read about 1,000 ohms at room temperature. For the too-hot codes the manual also checks ventilation and fan, and the white insulation over the coil.
Common Causes of 51-55 / 61-65
- Coil temperature sensor open
- Cooktop overheating from poor ventilation or a dry pan
- Insulation over the coil missing or displaced
- Generator board failure
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Do not let pans boil dry, and make sure the range’s vents and the space under the oven are not blocked. If a code names one zone, avoid that zone until serviced.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Coils are under the glass; the top must come off.
- Generator boards carry high voltage.
