What EA2 / EA3 Means
EA2 means the line voltage is too high and EA3 that it is too low. Electrolux’s action for both is to check the amplitude of the line voltage; if it is correct, the control board is replaced.
Common Causes of EA2 / EA3
- Partly tripped 240 V breaker (EA3)
- Worn or burned dryer receptacle
- Utility supply out of range
- Control board voltage sensing
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
For an electric dryer, make sure both legs of the double breaker are fully on. A partly tripped breaker and a worn receptacle both show up as low voltage. Have an electrician test the receptacle if the lights also dim.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A burned 240 V receptacle is a fire hazard for an electrician to replace.
- Voltage is measured at live terminals.
