What i5E Means
i5E means the drain pump will not follow its command because its rotor is locked. As with the wash pump, the service manual lists dirt, too high a load and mechanical impeller problems.
Common Causes of i5E
- Debris jammed in the drain pump
- Drain pump impeller broken
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
With the breaker off, bail out standing water, remove the filter and look into the drain pump opening for anything wedged. Remove it with gloves on.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If the impeller is broken, the drain pump is replaced from beneath.
- Sharp debris in the sump can cut hands.
