What DI SP Means
DI SP (or DISP) with an alarm tone means ice is jammed in the chute. Electrolux says the alarm sounds when a cube has been stuck in the chute too long.
Common Causes of DI SP
- Cube stuck in the chute
- Clumped ice from infrequent use
- Chute flap not closing so warm air melts and refreezes ice
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Open the freezer or ice compartment and clear the chute by hand or with a plastic utensil. If cubes are fused, remove the ice bin, empty it, thaw it in the sink, dry it and reinstall it, as Electrolux recommends.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If the chute keeps jamming, the chute door or its heater may need repair.
- Using metal tools can crack the chute.
