What PF Means
PF or the Power Failure light means the refrigerator lost power, from an outage or a surge. Electrolux says this can also lead to a high temperature alarm, and on French-door and four-door models it is acknowledged by pressing Alarm Reset once power is back.

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Press Alarm Reset. Then check food: anything in the fridge above 40 F for more than two hours should be discarded, and freezer food with ice crystals can be refrozen.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Nothing to repair unless PF appears without any outage.
- Unexplained PF may be a failing receptacle or control, which needs checking.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
