What E5D / E5E Means
E5D and E5E are listed on the Electrolux chart as communication problems between the main control board and the motor control board. Test 10 checks the wiring between them; good wiring leads to the main board, and then the motor control board if the problem persists.
Common Causes of E5D / E5E
- Loose connector between the main board and motor control board
- Harness damaged by vibration or moving the washer
- Main board or motor control board communication circuit failed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Unplug the washer for a full minute and restart. If the washer was recently moved, the harness behind the cabinet can pull on a connector, which is worth mentioning when you book.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The harness is routed inside the cabinet from the top board down to the motor board.
- Board swaps in the wrong order can leave the real cause in place.
