What EA4 Means
EA4 means improper home wiring. The dryer detected that L1, neutral and L2 are wired incorrectly at the terminal block, or that line connections in the house are bad. Electrolux’s action is to check the wiring at the terminal block.
Common Causes of EA4
- Power cord wires connected to the wrong terminals
- Loose neutral in the cord or receptacle
- House wiring problem in the dryer circuit
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
If the dryer was just installed or the cord was just changed, that is the first suspect. Switch off the breaker and have the installer or an electrician check the cord connections at the terminal block against the installation instructions.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Terminal block wiring is 240 V work; a swapped neutral can make the cabinet live.
- House circuit problems are for a licensed electrician.
