What Er 04 Means
Er 04 is the drying damper code, a dead drying damper. The damper opens a vent path for moist air during drying; when it does not move, drying suffers.
Common Causes of Er 04
- Damper motor failed
- Damper linkage stuck
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Dishes can still be washed. Leaving the door slightly open after the cycle helps them dry until the damper is replaced.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The damper is inside the door or tub vent.
- The door panel must come off.
