What E7 Means
E7 on an Icon column is the stuck key alarm: the control read a key press longer than 30 seconds. The tone lasts one minute and stops by itself, the display alternates E7 with 33 F, and the column keeps the factory-set temperature until the key is released.
Common Causes of E7
- Item inside the column pressing a key
- Sticky residue holding a key
- Keypad failure
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Press each key on the control once and feel for one that does not spring back. Wipe the panel with a damp cloth to remove sticky residue, and make sure no container presses against the control inside the cabinet.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A keypad shorted internally needs the control replaced.
- The control is mounted inside the cabinet.
