What E 40 Means
E 40 is a communication failure between the main touch control and the filter board. Electrolux checks the LIN bus harness from the right-side filter board of the two-zone module to the left-side filter board of the three-zone module, and the LIN wire at the timer input.
Common Causes of E 40
- LIN bus harness loose
- LIN wire at the timer input damaged
- Filter board failure

- The harness links two modules under the cooktop.
- Access requires removing the cooktop.
