What HO SE Means
HO SE means the washer has detected reversed inlet hoses: the hot supply is on the cold inlet and the cold supply on the hot inlet, as Electrolux’s owner article puts it. The washer compares the temperature of the water it asked for with what arrives.
Common Causes of HO SE
- Hoses connected to the wrong faucets during installation
- Faucets labeled incorrectly in the laundry room
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Close both faucets, put a towel down, and swap the two hoses at the faucets or at the washer so that the hot faucet feeds the inlet marked hot. Open the faucets, check for drips, and restart.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- An owner can normally fix this; call only if the fittings leak after the swap.
- If HO SE persists with correct hoses, the inlet valve or temperature reading needs checking.
