What E 61-E 65 Means
E 61 to E 65 mean an element temperature sensor reads too hot: 61 left front, 62 left rear, 63 center, 64 right rear, 65 right front. Electrolux first checks cooktop ventilation, the airway and fan, then the sensor connection, the element sensor resistance and the generator board.
Common Causes of E 61-E 65
- Pan boiled dry
- Airway or cooling fan blocked
- Sensor misreading
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Never heat an empty pan. Keep the space below the cooktop clear so the fan can draw air, and let the zone cool before using it again.

- The fan and airway are below the counter inside the cooktop body.
- Repeated overheating can damage coils.
