What E91 / E92 Means
E91 and E92 are communication errors between the user interface board behind the control panel and the main control board on the right side inside the cabinet. Test 11 checks the wiring between the two; if it is good, the user interface board is replaced first, then the main board.
Common Causes of E91 / E92
- Harness between the user interface and main board loose
- Moisture or spill inside the control panel
- User interface board failed
- Main board communication circuit failed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn the washer off at the receptacle for one minute and restart. Spills that reach the control panel can cause intermittent communication; if liquid was spilled on the console, mention it.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The user interface board sits inside the console and the panel must come off carefully to avoid breaking tabs.
- The chart’s order, interface board before main board, saves replacing the more expensive part first.
