What E7 Means
E7 on the Icon all-freezer is the stuck key alarm: a key read as pressed for longer than 30 seconds. The display alternates E7 with -10 F and the freezer holds its factory setting until the key clears.
Common Causes of E7
- Package pressing a key
- Key sticking with frost or residue
- Keypad failure
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Make sure no frozen package leans on the control panel inside the cabinet, then press each key and check that it springs back.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A keypad that stays shorted needs the control replaced.
- Forcing keys can crack the panel in the cold.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
