What Power Fail Means
The POWER FAIL light on an Icon all-freezer means the cabinet exceeded 23 F during a power failure. If the outage lasted more than an hour, the display alternates the duration in hours with the cabinet temperature, so you can judge what food to keep.

- Power outage long enough to warm the cabinet
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Note the duration, press ALARM OFF and check the food: items with ice crystals can generally be refrozen; fully thawed items that sat above 40 F should not.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- No repair is needed unless the freezer then fails to pull down.
- Repeated power fails without outages suggest a supply problem.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
