What F1 Means
On older Electrolux Icon built-in wall ovens, F1 is the display for a control failure group. The service manual lists F10 (possible runaway), F11 (shorted keypad) and F13 (corrupted checksum) under it. To see the exact code, the manual says to unplug and replug the oven, then, while PF shows, touch BAKE and BROIL together for 3 seconds followed by KITCHEN TIMER.
Common Causes of F1
- Temperature sensor or stuck relay (F10)
- Shorted keypad (F11)
- Control memory corrupted (F13)
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
If the oven is overheating, switch off the breaker. Otherwise press CLEAR and reset at the breaker for 30 seconds.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- An overheating oven is a fire risk.
- Severe overheating can damage the oven beyond repair, the manual warns.
