What CL / Cd Means
CL or Cd means the door is open: the door has not been successfully closed and latched, Electrolux’s owner guide explains. The EI24ID50Q guide adds that CL flashes when the door is opened during a wash cycle, and that it is not a problem with the dishwasher.
Common Causes of CL / Cd
- Door not fully closed
- Item in the racks blocking the door
- Door latch worn
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Close the door firmly until it latches. Check that no rack, utensil or tall pan blocks it. If the door will not latch, Electrolux says to contact service for inspection.

- A latch that will not catch needs replacing inside the door.
- The door switch is part of the latch assembly.
