What E35 Means
E35 means the pressure sensor reports water above the overfill level. Electrolux’s owner article calls it water overfill; the service test asks whether the water really is above about 4.5 inches and whether it keeps flowing in with the washer switched off, which would point at an inlet valve that will not close.
Common Causes of E35
- Water inlet valve stuck open or leaking through
- Air trap clogged so the sensor reads high
- Pressure sensor reading high
- Wiring to the valve shorted, keeping it energized
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
If water keeps entering with E35 showing, shut both faucets behind the washer immediately, then unplug it. Note whether water stopped when the power went off. That one observation tells the technician whether the valve is stuck open mechanically or the control is holding it on.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A valve that keeps filling with the power off will flood the laundry room if the faucets are left open.
- Testing the valve wiring for a short is done on live terminals inside the top of the cabinet.
