What EA5 / EAE Means
EA5 is a main voltage sensing failure and EAE a line safe relay sensing failure. Both are the washer’s own checks on how it measures and switches incoming power. Test 12 applies: confirm the supply, then replace the main board.
Common Causes of EA5 / EAE
- Voltage sensing circuit on the main board failed
- Safety relay on the main board failed
- Supply problem at the receptacle
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Reset the washer by unplugging it for a minute. If either code returns on a known-good receptacle, book service.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The safety relay is part of the main board’s protection design and is not bypassed.
- Checking it means working on live circuits.
