What E11 Means
E11 on an Electrolux front-load washer means the fill took too long: the pressure sensor did not see the programmed water level inside the allowed time. Electrolux’s own owner article calls it a long fill time, and the service chart sends a technician first to the water supply, then to the inlet valve and pressure sensor.
Common Causes of E11
- Water faucet partly closed or a fill hose kinked behind the cabinet
- Inlet screens clogged with sediment
- Household water pressure below about 20 psi
- Water inlet valve not opening fully
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn both faucets behind the washer fully open and look along each fill hose for a kink where the machine was pushed back. With the faucets shut off and a towel under the connection, unscrew one hose at the washer and look at the small screen inside the inlet; lint or grit there slows the fill enough to trip E11. Electrolux’s service chart treats house pressure under 20 psi as a supply problem, so a low-pressure well system is worth mentioning when you book.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The inlet valve and the pressure sensor sit behind the top panel next to live terminals, and the chart only condemns them after the supply checks pass.
- Replacing the valve when the real cause is low house pressure spends money without curing E11.
