What EA1 Means
EA1 means the power supply frequency is out of limits. US power runs at 60 Hz; the washer checks it and logs EA1 when it drifts. Electrolux’s test 12 says to have the power company check the incoming supply; if it is correct, the main board is replaced.
Common Causes of EA1
- Washer running on a portable generator
- Utility supply problem
- Main board sensing circuit failed

If the washer is running from a generator or an inverter during an outage, that is the likely cause. Wait for utility power and restart.

- Supply frequency can only be measured correctly with proper test equipment.
- A board replaced for a supply problem will show the same code.
